Changes To Price List

To all our loyal patrons, I hope this finds you well and everyone is working hard to get back to normal after the long standing battle with covid-19. At the time of writing this I’m actually lying in my bed having finally succumbed to the dreaded virus. Our current isolation rules only dictate a week off work but that’s one week too many for me after the long lay offs with lockdowns 1 and 2.

I think as an economy we are only just beginning to see the impacts of what so much government grants and funding have led to. The cost of living has changed, quite dramatically in some cases.

You only have to fill your car with fuel or check your most recent energy bill in your household to see the rapid rise. Us as a company are no different , along with the obvious utilities rising we are now no longer getting any relief from our local councils as we did during the height of the pandemic.

The cost of running the business has changed massively and as a result we’ve decided to revise our price list. We felt it only fair during the last two years to freeze our current service prices as everyone was feeling the pinch and we want to always look after and support our clients as much as possible, after all you as a group have made it possible for us to grow as a brand. We used the time to better improve our salons and software and upgrade the client experience .

But now as mentioned above with the immediate increase on the cost of running our business the cost of a haircut must rise. Across most of the service list it will be a £1 increase but the standard haircut will be a £2 increase. This small rise will ensure we can still offer all the great client experiences we give as a company along with helping our staff meet the demands of running their own households.

As a mark of respect to you, the clients and after a long discussion with our leadership team we thought it only fair to delay the increase by 6 months of this tax year and thus absorb the new running costs ourselves as a team. We felt collectively as a group that this delay will give everyone time to familiarise themselves with the changes to society and the new cost of living in general. We plan to roll out this new pricing structure at the start of September.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you immensely from all the team here at Rag & Bone for the unbelievable show of support during the pandemic and your continued support moving forward into this new phase of post covid-19 and the many changes it’ll bring. Cheers!
